It was a chance meeting between an Uber driver and a TikToker.

Last month, influencer Becca Moore was robbed of her phone and credit cards while attending Coachella, she told followers in a video last month. She said that when she went into her Uber, she didn’t expect her driver, Raul TorresTo be her hero. After learning more about his family’s struggles, including a father and daughter with cancer, Becca realized she needed to use her platform to help him like he helped her.

Her goal was $1,000 so she created a GoFundMe. Within an hour, the goal was met, so she continued to increase the goal. Today, her goal is to raise $230,000 for Torres’ family.

It all began with TikTok posting her story on April 29 and asking for donations.

She said, “So I was robbed at Coachella. My Uber driver saved my life.” The video has almost 6,000,000 views. He insisted that I stay with him even though I pretend everything is fine after I get in the car.
