Zombies—you just can’t get rid of them!

AMC revealed plans to add another AMC location on Monday, March 7. Walking Dead spin-off series called Isle of the Dead. It will include: Walking DeadVeterans Lauren Cohan and Jeffrey Dean Morgan reprising their roles as Maggie Negan, respectively. They will “travel into a postapocalyptic Manhattan that has been cut off from our mainland”.

According to the network Maggie will be required to reside in an altered version of New York City that “is filled with the dead, denizens, who have made New York City their world full of violence, terror, beauty, and anarchy.”

That sounds about right. 

Veteran Walking DeadCo-executive producer and writer Eli Jorné will serve as showrunner and executive producer on the series, which will have a six-episode first season on AMC and AMC+ in 2023.

This series gives viewers the chance to get deeper into Maggie’s and Negan’s lives. Cohan was a guest star on season 2. In 2019, she left to appear on ABC’s short-lived series, “Cohan.” Whiskey Cavalier, before returning in in season nine.

She stated that Maggie is near to her heart, and she was excited to follow her path against the backdrop of New York City. Jeffrey Dean Morgan, who is also in attendance, said it. Eli Jorné has created something incredibly special and I cannot wait for the fans to see what we have in store for Maggie and Negan.”

Morgan began his journey with the show during season 5 and has been an important part of it ever since. He said, “I am delighted that Negan’s and Maggie’s story continues.” “It has been an amazing ride walking in Negan’s shoes. I am beyond thrilled to continue his journey with Lauren in New York City. It’s always been cool to see Walkers in an urban setting, but 5th Avenue Empire State Building, Statue of Liberty. Is this the greatest city on earth?
