The 2022 award season is almost upon us—but first, the Golden Globe nominations.
It will also be the inaugural major award show for the year. Snoop DoggI did the honours of announcing all the stars on the list, and it was packed with fans favorites.
Starting at Ted Lasso to Only Murders in the Building, Don’t Look Up‘s Jennifer LawrenceTo West Side Story‘s Rachel Zegler, the best of television and film were celebrated with nominations on Monday, Dec. 13.
The show will take place on Jan. 9, 2022, though it is currently unclear if it will air on TV after NBC refusedTo televise it in support of a boycott of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association. “We believe that the HFPA will continue to work towards meaningful reform. But, major changes of this nature require time and effort. The HFPA should be allowed to take their time. NBC therefore will not broadcast the 2022 Golden Globes,” NBC announced in a May statement. We are optimistic that the broadcast will take place in January 2023, if the company follows through with its plans.”
