Succession’s Brian Cox Says Playing Logan Roy Had This Effect

Logan Roy’s evil role as a billionaire has some downsides.

Succession Star Brian Cox said that acting as the power-hungry patriarch of the fictional Roy family has had a “terrible effect” on him.

Cox said, “I didn’t actually swear until I took on this role.” Sky News Aug. 25. Aug. 25. It’s catching, it’s infectious.”

Logan Roy of Cox is fondly known for swearing like “f-koff” when directed at his children Kendall (Jeremy StrongRomanKieran CulkinShivSarah SnookConnor and ConnorAlan Ruck).

Cox admitted that Logan is his favorite person, in spite of the side effects. 

He said that Logan was a very interesting character. “Logan’s thoughts are so mysterious we don’t know what they think,” he added in the interview. He acts the way he does. He doesn’t feel the same way.
