In 2019, Blair underwent a stem-cell transplant—which, according to Vanity FairShe had to cease taking MS medication and undergo chemotherapy. After the treatment, she was able to receive a new round of chemotherapy. The transplant took place in a hospital.

However, last year the Legally BlondeAn alumnus shared the great news. She said that “my prognosis for the future is excellent” during a Television Critics Association panel in August. This was per the Associated Press. “I am in remission.”

Blair stated that it took “about a year” after stem cell treatment for inflammation to subside. She decided to wait to share the information because “this needed to be more healed.” According to her, there are no new lesions. 

Blair stated, “There is still maintenance and treatment. There are glitches. And wonderful things.” “Cognitively I am very different and that has been the hardest part.”
