Ron Howard is recreating the harrowing 2018 Thai cave rescue.

The boys are unable to swim out of this cave due to the constant rains and high water level. This makes it even more challenging for them. Divers had to sedate the boys and then swim through the cave one-by-one with them. It’s crazy, one man said. It’s unethical. It’s illegal.”
However, they made the right decision. All 13 boys survived the rescue, with one dying from drowning in the Thai Navy SEALs dive and the other from complications from blood infections a little more than a full year later.
