Rachael shared that Andrew Kaplan, a good friend and colleague sent her a late Christmas present in March. It brought Rachael to her knees. “I cried for an hour when I opened six boxes filled with new copies of cookbooks we’d lost to our house fire. It was amazing. He also gave me several cookbooks. Then I noticed that every cookbook had a personal, handwritten note from the author. My eyes literally swelled with tears.
