Pete Davidson is headed to Peacock.
The streaming platform announced that it had placed a direct-to-series order for a comedy series with the star of “The Simpsons”. Saturday Night LiveCast member April 27. Called BupkisThe streaming service claims that the live-action comedy of half an hour will be based on Pete Davidson’s “heightened, fictionalized” life. The series will blend grounded storytelling and absurd elements of Pete’s unfiltered, completely unique worldview.
This comedian will not only be a star but also write and produce. He held the same positions on 2020’s The King of Staten Island, which was also loosely based on his life.
Pete will be joined at the table by other writers and executives producers Dave SiriusAnd Judah MillerAdditional EPs are also available Andrew Singer, Erin DavidAnd Lorne Michaels.
“Bupkis will showcase Pete’s funny, surprising and unfiltered brand of comedy audiences have come to love as we continue to bolster our Peacock comedy slate,” NBCUniversal Television and Streaming chairman of entertainment content Susan Rovner wrote in a press release. “We are excited to get in the water with Lorne, Broadway Video, and our Universal Television partners.”
