“Super Bass” singer Nicki Minaj is addressing backlash that arose from her recent event with TikTok celebrating Black History Month.

On Wednesday, Feb. 8, TikTok and Nicki invited influencers from the app to chat over Zoom with the Grammy-winning artist as part of TikTok’s Black History Month celebration, according to creators who attended. Black TikTok celebrities took to Twitter to vent their disappointment at how 300 people were allowed to attend the event.

Nicki spoke up about the drama. Instagram LiveOn February 8, according to a SipPink podcast recording. I had an amazing call with TikTok, and it was a great Zoom. “Shoutout to everyone that was there,” the artist said. “I hear you guys. “I heard you all and I’ll schedule another meeting for you.”

Nicki said, “Trust Me, I Heard y’all Loud and Clear.”
