Hirschhorn said that this donation enabled the college to set up a fund that would “cover the complete repayment” of “existing outstanding student debts for loans certified and certified by the college”. Hirschhorn explained that another fund is being established in order “reduce similar student debt” which hasn’t been certified by college.
Hirschhorn expressed his excitement about the future and said “we look forward to great successes all of you will attain in the years ahead.”
After the announcement, it was revealed that the 2022 class, as per the Los Angeles Times consists of 285 graduates, broke out into tears and applause.
Hirschhorn, after having choked up, said “People are crying.” After choking up, Hirschhorn said that “it’s making my cry.”
