CelebHomes News: If he wanted to follow in your footsteps in showbiz, what advice would you give him?
MT: Daryl was really young—like four or five—[when]He was like “I want to appear on TV!” He was clear about what he wanted. When I was eight years old, I began singing at church and later wrote songs. However, I will encourage him to pursue any hobbies that interest him. My parents were able to do that for me.
CelebHomes News. Where are you?
MT: Sonically, it sounds like TitleIt is elevated, however. They are certainly elevated in their lyrics. The best thing about the album is that I composed the lyrics for every song. I believe having a baby helps you grow and motivates you to be more productive.
CelebHomes News. Where is the time?
MT: My husband really helps me out. He’s my partner in crime. My partner in crime. My partner in life. He is there with me every step of the way. After we’ve put the baby down, it is our date night. We are in bed, watching a TV show and giggling and having the best time ever where I feel like I’m on vacation—and it’s really thanks to him. Daryl would be a great gift for everyone.
CelebHomes News: What do you find is the biggest part of the partnership that you and Daryl share?
MT: Communication. “Hey, this is what I hate about you doing.” He was like “OK, it’s over.” Vice versa. We have become one and I love him for it. His watching me go through everything, from getting pregnant to having a baby, and then finally have my C-section brought us closer. I consider him my entire world. The album includes a song called “Final Breath.” The song literally refers to how my final words would be, “I Love You” since I want you to have a new experience.
