The breakout star of the show is, in fact. Shonda Rhimes‘ Anna Invented has found her next gig within the Shondaland portfolio: Season 19 of Grey’s Anatomy. According to Deadline, Floyd—who played Neff Davis on Anna Invented—is slated to join the new season’s cast as a series regular, playing a new surgical resident at Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital.
The character, named Simone Griffin, is described by the publication as a “funny, whip smart, high achiever with a complicated family dynamic.” According to Dr. Griffin, he has connections with the Seattle-based hospital. The report states that the character originally refused to accept Grey Sloan due to a difficult personal history.
It could refer to one of many tragedies on the show, such as a Ferry accident, flooding, and two ambulance accidents. This is a wonderful episode. Grey’s AnatomyUpdate, the new resident in surgery means that the hospital’s surgical program can be restarted.
Remember: Grey Sloan was ordered by the end of season 18 to close down and rebuild their residency program.
