The Evening Jeopardy!Sometimes crew members need extra time to answer questions.

It takes the TV show a lot longer to determine if an alternative answer from a contestant is acceptable.

“We often shut down for nearly an hour because of one decision,” says the host. Mayim Bialik said on the Wild Ride Steve-O podcast. It’s not obvious. Any episode where we correct someone’s score, like ‘The judges have ruled that mahogany is also an acceptable tree that begins with M’ or whatever it is, that usually means we’ve shut down for like an hour.”

Mayim claims that such an incident can “change how the game plays.” This makes the whole process very formal.

A lawyer is always available. “A lawyer who is observant of standards and follows best practices,” she explained. She said, “Imagine you are in law school and get appointed to a seat on the bench.” Jeopardy!. They sit there and check that everything is in order.

This sounds like a great gig.
