Matt regrets not having had the opportunity to work on this show. However, he says it was the best thing he could have done. The BachelorHe criticized them for not showing an authentic story of him and his life, and encouraged them to be better.
“I was preparing to see it and when I didn’t see it, I’m, like, ‘Dang, I guess it was too raw,'” he said. It was probably too raw to be what they wanted, which was unfortunate, because people can feel that vulnerability and openness when dealing with those kinds of things. They’re like, ‘Yo, I felt that.’ I’m like, ‘It’s not that hard of a formula—how about y’all double down on the realness?'”
