Law & Order: Organized Crime Crew member killed in fatal shooting at set
According to a New York Police Department spokesperson, a 31-year-old parking enforcement worker, whose name is being withheld pending notification of his family, was shot while sitting in a car outside the Brooklyn set on the morning of July 19. The victim, who was saving parking spots for the production according to the NYPD, was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead around 6 a.m.
Current investigation into the incident is a murder. According to NYPD, the suspect was described by the NYPD as a Hispanic male 5’4″ with thin build, wearing a black hoodie, black pants, and was dressed in a dark blazer. There have not been any arrests.
The deceased was not employed by NBC, Universal Television or any other television network. Police found that the victim worked for a company involved in parking.
Universal Television and NBC offered their condolences to his family. According to the statement, they were “terribly shocked and saddened” that one crew member had been the victim of crime in the early hours of this morning. As they investigate, we are working closely with local authorities.
