Three years later Nipsey HussleLos Angeles Clothing Store owner, Robert A. Smith was gunned down in an incident that occurred outside of the store. He received a star from Hollywood Walk of Fame.
On Aug. 15, his longtime friend was there for his posthumous funeral. Lauren London—who shares 5-year-old son Kross Ermias Asghedom with the musician—shared a touching tribute honoring his legacy. It was his 36th birthday.
London said, “I feel like I’m speaking for L.A. as I tell you that Hussle was always destined to greatness.” This moment amplifies it for us.
She continued: “Nip wouldn’t have been honored by that moment. It is important to him that everyone remembers that it’s impossible to get to the best unless we are willing to move forward. This doesn’t necessarily mean you should forget where you came from. It means acknowledging what reality you are born into and how you can change it for the better.
