John Krasinski and Emily Blunt just bought a spectacular estate in famed Ojai, California, and the best part is this large home is eco friendly. Krasinski is best known for playing Jim Halpert on “The Office, while Blunt is known for her roles in “The Devil Wears Prada”, “The Adjustment Bureau”, and “The Five-Year Engagement”. The Hollywood couple was married on May 21, 2010 in Italy with friends George Clooney, Matt Damon, Jimmy Kimmel and Meryl Streep attending.
The 4,177 square foot home was listed for $2.5 million and sits on the site that was once the original Ojai hotel. With 4 bedrooms and 3.5 baths this home was built in 1982. Powered by huge solar panels and access to well water this eco friendly estate also has a separate guest wing, four fireplaces, a three car garage and a large pool with a relaxing spa.
Right when Reese Witherspoon is moving out of the paradise hideaway of Ojai, this Hollywood couple snatched up this second home for $2.15 million where they can go to get away from all of the prying paparazzi.
Ojai is mainly known as a tourist town and actor haven northwest of Los Angeles and surrounded by mountains and hills. The town boasts several spiritual retreats, a thriving farmers’ market with an abundance of local organic agriculture and strong outdoor recreational activities.
Krasinski has recently signed on to star alongside Drew Barrymore in the film “Big Miracle” and will also be playing the lead in an indie movie called “Nobody Walks”. Blunt will be starring alongside Tom Cruise in the film adaptation of the Japanese novel, All You Need is Kill by Hiroshi Sakurazaka in 2013 and is scheduled to star in the upcoming movie “Arthur Newman, Golf Pro” with Colin Firth.
