While President Biden is busy… well, being president, Dr. Biden has a jam-packed agenda of her own as FLOTUS and an educator at Northern Virginia Community College—a job she has held since 2009, per NPR.
He explained that she had been travelling all across the country. Vogue. “And doing Major events for me…and for the country. So I will find I am distracted from a very important speech I am working on. Then I might not be working on it and want to hang out with her while she works on an important speech. Oder grading papers.”
Dr. Biden said that both of them had to put in extra effort because they are so busy. So we need to do more to be there for one another, I feel.
She went on to add that having dinner is a key opportunity to have a moment together.
Sometimes we eat on the balconies; last night, we ate upstairs in the yellow Oval.” “It’s not a part of the day we set aside. We still light the candles and have the conversations. The phones are still put away.”
We know our phones are off limits so we don’t have to feign over meals!
