Jena Malone just proved to be one lucky dog’s best friend.
The 37-year old was born April 4. Hunger Games actress helped come to the rescue of a small leashed dog, a terrier mix named Champion, who was allegedly being abused by a man on a Hollywood street. He was the suspect. Kendall McKinney, 29, was later arrested on suspicion of animal cruelty—and had already had a no-bail warrant out for his arrest, a Los Angeles Police Department spokesperson told CelebHomes News.
Malone tweetedThis was truly scary. On the sunset I witnessed a man kick a small, unmarried dog several times. He then lifted him high up and choked the dog. I tried to get him out of his car and he refused. To get him to stop, I got out from my car but he ran away.”
In an interview with NBC Los Angeles on camera, the actress stated that it was then she jumped in to action.
“I pulled over and started chasing him,” said Malone who was later shown cradling Champion. It’s not okay.
