HBO’s The Last of Us Reveals Actors From the Game Will Appear

HBO’s adaptation of this popular series is now available. Troy BakerAnd Ashley JohnsonSony revealed its Summer Game Fest cast on June 9th

Baker and Johnson provided voice-overs and motion-capture performance as Joel and Ellie during 2013’s Last of UsAnd 2020 Part II: The Last of Us. Baker and Johnson won’t be reprising their roles as they have been filled. Pedro PascalAnd Bella Ramsey (you might remember Ramsey from her performance as Lyanna from Game of Thrones). HBO published the first picture of the pair at the presentation on June 9. 

Showrunner is a Twitter handle. Craig Mazin—who recently won two Emmys for his work on HBO’s Chernobyl—confirmed the news about Baker and Johnson having roles on the series, writingThe answer is: And boy howdy…they are both [mind-blowing].”

It is unclear who Baker and Johnson will be playing, but Sony indicated they had “major roles.”
