
Florida International University mourns the loss of a college football player Luke Knox.
A brief statement was posted by the FIU Athletics Account of Miami on August 18th, which confirmed his death.
“We are shocked by Luke Knox’s sudden death, which was a part of FIU Football,” stated the tweet read. We send our condolences to Luke’s friends, family and colleagues during this time of sorrow.
According to Miami-Dade Medical Examiner’s office, Luke passed away on Aug. 17. Unknown is the cause of Luke’s death. According to the Associated Press, police are not suspected of any foul play at the school.
Luke, a junior linebacker for the Golden Panthers, transferred to FIU earlier this year from the University of Mississippi, where he was a member of the Ole Miss Rebels football team.
