According to Page Six (September 2021), Sami sent a TikTok Video to Sami, in which she referred to living in an abusive home with her mother.
The video—which has since been made private, according to the outlet—included a video of Sami looking upset.
The clip was accompanied by a caption: “1 year ago today: trapped in an abusive household, hated myself, would go days without eating or sleeping, insanely depressed, hated school, etc…”
A new video clip showed Sami looking happy. It was paired with new words. They read: “now: Finally moved out the hellhouse, had a spiritual awakening. Own 2 cats. Happy single. Full of self-love and dropped out high school :).”
The two seem to have taken some steps toward repairing their marriage as time passes. In March Denise posted a tribute to Sami’s birthday on Instagram.
Denise wrote, “I Love You So Much.” I have many words of praise to add for you. I love you unconditionally and I am very blessed & grateful to be your mom.”
