Nicole spoke about her parents’ relationship with NBC News following the release of Netflix’s documentary about her dad The Black GodfatherThis is what she gave us.
Nicole explained that the couple has been married for 52 year and her mother was the one who introduced to our family the passion, love, and importance of culture and entertainment. My father was involved in the business, making the most deals. But my mom was there to give me my love for literature and filmmaking.
She continued, “Her energy and passion for the arts kept my dad balanced.” He calls her his “Umbrella” in life.
