Brooke Burke and her husband, David Charvet are putting their breathtaking Malibu mansion on the rental market for steel at $50,000 a month. This is a large price drop from the $75,000 a month they were originally asking in June of last year.
Charvet originally purchased the land back in 1998 for $1.275 million, and built himself an impressive home. When David started dating Brooke in 2006 and she moved in with him, the couple completely remodeled the home.
They originally listed the home for sale in 2011 for $12.5 million, but weren’t able to find any takers, so they chose to hang on to the property till a later date.
The 6,769 square foot home, nicknamed Chateau Charvet, has five bedrooms and five bathrooms. The homes decor includes antique hand plastered walls, hand carved limestone and walnut flooring, imported French fireplaces, hand sculpted doors and custom ceiling details. In keeping with the feel of a French Chateau there is a media room, wood paneled office and a 4,000 bottle wine cellar with Chateau Margaux barrels inset in the wall.
The 3.5 acres of land the mansion sits on also includes a large beautiful pool with an gorgeous cabana, a 200 rose bush garden and a beautiful orchard. The home is located in the private and impressive Serra Retreat, which is also home to famous neighbors like James Cameron and Camille Grammer.
Brooke Burke is probably best known for winning season 7 of Dancing with the Stars along with her partner Derek Hough and then co-hosting Dancing with the Stars along with Tom Bergeron starting in 2010 when co-host Samantha Harris left.
Burke went on to also host the TV Land series She’s Got the Look, a modeling competition for women over 35 in August of 2010. Starting in 2011, she became the co-host of the Miss America pageant along with Chris Harrison.
