Britney Spears is back—and ready to make the world dance again.

The Princess of Pop (40) released “Hold Me Closer”, a brand new song after a six year hiatus. Elton John on Aug. 26. The Andrew WattThis song is an EDM mix of lyrics taken from Elton’s 1972 hit “Tiny Dancer”, and his 1992 smash “The One.”

Elton, 75 years old, posted the video to Instagram earlier this week. The track was playing over speakers at a Cannes restaurant. Customers cheered, applauded, and sang along to “Rocket Man”, as Elton presented the track.

Britney’s debut single, “Hold Me Closer”, is her first since the end of her 13-year conservatorship in November 2021. Britney’s last project, her ninth studio album, was released in 2016. Glory.
