Britney and her fiancé, Sam AsghariFriday, was spent with her family celebrating her legal win. As Sam put it, “History was made today. Britney, you are free!”

“I love my fans so much it’s crazy,” Britney wrote on Instagram, not long after the judge ended her conservatorship. “I believe I’m going to cry the rest of !!!! Best day ever.” She used the hashtag #FreedBritney.

Britney’s attorney said that she is proud of Britney. Mathew RosengartOutside the courthouse, she said: She is a great person. I thank her for her courage and voice and power and I thank her for our relationship, not only is this momentous for Britney… but she helped shine a light on conservatorships and guardianships from coast to coast. California to New York” 

He said, “That required tremendous insight, courage, grace, and perseverance.” 

Britney previously called her conservatorship “abusive” and said that it had controlled her life, as she was required to work 70 hours per week. Jamie’s lawyer has however defended his actions.

His attorney stated in September that all of his actions fell within the limits of authority granted to him by the court. Britney, Britney’s court-appointed attorney and/or court approved his actions. Jamie’s record as conservator—and the court’s approval of his actions—speak for themselves.”

CelebHomes News has reached out to reps for Britney and Jamie for comment but hasn’t heard back.
