Season 3 of Ted Lasso may very well be the comedy series’ last—according to Brett GoldsteinThat is it.
The actor who portrays Roy Kent in the hit Apple TV+ series said, “We are writing that like that.” Sunday Times. It was originally planned for three. Spoiler alert: everyone dies.”
Ok, that’s a good thing!
And while that may not be a huge surprise to superfans—after all, co-creators, Jason Sudeikis, Brendan Hunt Bill Lawrence always planned on a three-series run, Sudeikis teased a brighter future for the show last year.
“The story that’s being told—that three-season arc—is the one that I see, know, and understood,” he shared with Entertainment Weekly. “As for what happens next, who knows?” “I don’t know.”
Hunt, however insists they adhere to the original plan.
“I think it’d be pretty cool, given the fact that everyone enjoys this show,” said he. EW“That we stay true to our guns, and only do three seasons.”
