Rapper and record label executive Birdman has just shelled out $14.5 million dollars for an extravagant behemoth of a mansion in Miami Beach. The co-founder of Cash Money Records which claims stars like Nicki Minaj, Lil Wayne and Drake bought the 19,000 square foot Palm Island home in September from RockStar energy drink inventor Russel Weiner, who only paid $7 million for it.
The mansion has 9 bedrooms and 17 bathrooms has a foyer that resembles a luxury hotel rather than a private residence. There is a 70 foot custom bar, home theater, massage room, a billiards room elevator and a gym. Outside there is a lavish below ground pool, a private dock with access to the ocean and 100 feet of waterfront area.
Miami Beach is home to some of the most famous celebrities in the world including Lil Wayne, famous professional basketball player of the Miami Heat Dwyane Wade and New York Yankees star player Alex Rodriguez, or A-Rod just to name a few.
Bryan Williams or better known by his stage name Birdman got his start as one half of the rap duo Big Tymers. Birdman has recorded a collaboration album and a number of tracks with Lil Wayne. He also made his name by helping with the creation of YMCMB (Young Money Cash Money Billionaires). Forbes magazine has his estimated gross earnings for May 2010 to May 2011 to be $15 million and his net worth is estimated at $110 million in 2011.
In 2007, Birdman was arrested and charged with possession of nearly a pound of marijuana. It seems that Birdman, along with his brother Slim founded the oil and gas exploration company, Bronald Oil and Gas, LLC. In February 2010, Birdman told Ozone magazine that he has been in the oil business for “4 or 5 year” and was “making good money off that”. As of January 22, 2012, the Bronald Oil website is no longer working, which may be a clue to the fate of the company.
