This episode saw Zendaya’s Rue confronted and questioned by Leslie, her mother (Nika King), Jules (Hunter SchaferElliot (Dominic FikeAfter discovering that she’d relapsed, Leslie attempted to take Rue to rehab. Leslie tries to get Rue into rehab but Rue jumps out and flees. Rue then begins to experience withdrawal symptoms on her own.
Rue gets caught on the second attempt to intervene in an incident. However, she manages evade police until finally finding her way home.
Andrew was highly impressed by Zendaya’s performance and called it “one the most extraordinary things I have seen an actor do recently.”
