A judge from Italy was freed on Nov. 23 Rudy GuedeThe murder of British student, 2007 was previously committed by, Meredith Kercher.
Guede, who had served 13 of the 16 years sentence with time for good conduct and was freed shortly thereafter, spoke out about his case which made international headlines.
Interview with The Sun‘s Nick PisaGuede did not deny his innocence, but he offered condolences for the Kercher family.
Guede stated, “The Kerchers are my first priority and I’m sorry for their loss.” I have sent them a note in which I express my regrets, but it is too late for me to apologize for not being able to save Meredith.
The judge convicted him of being an accomplice to murder because his DNA was present but not the [legal]Documents show that others were present and I didn’t inflict fatal injuries.”
