New York City is rich with history. Some of it was created at the time of William Randolph Hearst, who revolutionized journalism. The historical Californian figure took over a newspaper that was on the verge of collapsing completely and turned it around. The man competed against 16 other papers! Furthermore, Hearst went on to create a magazine, which became successful as well. Hearst eventually found his way to New York, where he became a member of the House. Yep, this guy was a hot-shot. He actually built a castle in California, and lived large by the Hudson River. You can too, for $38 million!

Hearst’s former NY residency takes up 4 floors of a twelve-story building on Riverside Dr. The home has a total of 7 bedrooms and 6.5 bathrooms and is a part of 0.23 acres. Although built in 1900, the home preserves high ceilings, rejuvenated flooring (sleek and glossy hardwood), and opens up to awe-inspiring city and Hudson River views via a wrap-around deck. Basically, if you don’t wear a monocle, then don’t bother with this one. Just kidding, but seriously…………you’ll need deep pockets.
