Peter Reckell, who played Bo Brady on the long time daytime soap opera favorite “Days of Our Lives” has recently listed his house for sale. Reckell was a prominent fixture on the daytime favorite show from 1983 to 2012, only taking a brief break in the 1980s to star on the primetime soap “Knots Landing.” After 1,225 episodes on “Days of Our Lives”, the Reckell has also decided to make a home move as well.

Reckell and his wife, Kelly Moneymaker, listed their environmentally friendly home in Los Angeles for $4 million. The Brentwood home at 2905 Elvido Dr, Los Angeles was built in 2006 and has several earth friendly features.

The home is solar powered and has much of it’s design made up of recycled materials including grass cloth walls, recycled glass flooring and a solar heated infinity pool.

The 3,445 square foot home has 3 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms and includes a first floor living and dining area with a large chef’s kitchen, an indoor outdoor Koi Pond, a temperature controlled wine cave and a professional recording studio. Sliding doors open to the beautiful grounds which contain a large solar heated infinity edge pool, an Ipe wood deck, a meditation pond and a 16th century Indian temple that was rebuilt to be an outdoor pavilion.

The master bedroom upstairs opens onto a large deck with breathtaking views of the canyon and valley below.

Along with playing the character Bo Brady on “Days of Our Lives”, Reckell has also been on several other TV shows including “Baywatch” and “As the World Turns” where he started his acting career as Eric Hollister. Reckell is also accredited with the stage performances of “Pirates of Penzance”, “Jesus Christ Superstar” and “Death Trap” to name a few.

Reckell’s wife Kelly Moneymaker is best known for replacing Gioia Bruno in the music group Expose’ in the early 1990s and for working with artists Todd Rundgren, Wayne Newton and Connie Stevens. The couple has one daughter, Loden Sloan Reckell, born November 2007.
