By now everyone in the world is well aware that not only are Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes having some marital problems, they are flat out getting a divorce. One of the major questions is who will get the couple’s extravagant Beverly Hills mansion. It truly is a home fit for a king or a Top Gun as the case may be.

The house was built in 1937 and has 10,000 square feet of living space. With seven bedrooms and nine bathrooms the home sits on 1.3 lavish acres of secluded land that features tennis court and a pool.

But ever since the “Divorce that was heard around the world” the owner of this beautiful estate could be up in the air, since it wasn’t covered under the prenup that Katie signed before her 2009 marriage to Cruise. Tom Cruise started his film career with the movie Taps (1986), his first leading role was in Risky Business, but the movie that really kick started his career and made him a household name was his starring role in the film Top Gun (1986). Since that time his many great accomplishments have brought him to the point of being Hollywood’s highest paid actor.

Katie Holmes first achieved fame for her role as Joey Potter on the WB television teen drama Dawson’s Creek which ran from 1998 to 2003. After that she went on to achieve roles in Batman Begins, Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark, and Abandon. She has also played on Broadway in a production of Arthur Miller’s All My Sons and had various guest roles on television programs like How I Met Your Mother.
